Edwin Jeans are fully manufactured in Japan. They have to live up to highest quality standards. In 1963 a 16oz heavy denim was manufactured with a special rainbow-selvage. From the heaviest denim of that time, the famous Edwin Jeans was made. A jean which would literally stand on its own even after washing. Edwin are reknown for innovative denim-production since day one. Working closely with their weavery allows them to influence the development of the material by having their say in the choice of cotton and the way the yarn is spun, dyed and refined. This collaboration revolutionized the products. Numerous Edwin jeans have thus become worldwide role models. To this day, not only cotton material is being produced by Edwin, but new combinations of different materials are designed and tested.
