Trainerspotter started life as a side project between two friends, Russell Gater and Daniel Savory; a project exploring sports heritage, street subculture and graphic design for their love of vintage sneakers. This quickly developed into fledgling brand and business as demand grew rapidly not just in the UK but worldwide. Inspired by Steve Prefontaine, Jeff Johnson, Rudi Dassler and Geoff Hollister, the initial aim of the brand was to tell the stories behind sneaker culture that nobody had heard before.
Seven years on and Trainerspotter is still run by Messrs Gater and Savory and their love for sneakers is as avid as ever. This obsession started in the early nineties and steadily built.

Stocked worldwide in the most directional stores of each city, Trainerspotter is rapidly evolving and continually offering more detailed garments, telling more inspirational stories but never compromising the brand’s values and ideals. Producing a range of inspired graphic tees made from the finest quality cotton and durable and stylish outerwear pieces.
Trainerspotter has worked on special collaborative projects with individual artists, groups and DJ's such as De La Soul, Roots Manuva, Goldilocks, Bloc Party, The Arctic Monkeys, Mike Skinner, Toddla T, Saint NYC, Tynchy Stryder, Skream, Bailey and Brodinski. Trainerspotter garments are sold in the world's most prestigious streetwear stores and have also been featured in magazines including CLARK, Arena Homme Plus, ID, The Sunday Times magazine, WAD, Radar, The Face, ATM, Milk Japan and Inc. Magazine.
