Established in London for over 25 years.. Designer Michiko Koshino designs were heavily influenced by the explosive underground music culture in the 80s and early 90s. Today, Michiko's imaginative brands have continued to be a benchmark in ground-breaking designs inspired by a more organic approach to design.
Michiko is renowned for experimenting in areas removed from mainstream. This has included the invention of inflatable clothing and use of reflective fabrics and bandages in fashion techniques.
Vogue, Arena, Dazed and Confused and Another Magazine have all recently paid homage to Michiko's inspiring archive collections. A true style leader and innovator of original fashion techniques has earned Koshino a loyal plethora of worldwide followers.
Most recent of which have included Kate Moss, Liberty Ross, Keira Knightly, Jude Law, Gwen Stefani. Gavin Rossdale, Noel Gallagher, Keith Flint (Prodigy) and Felix Buxton (Basement Jaxx).
The Michiko London label encompasses almost all area of lifestyle design from cosmetics, watched, underwear, sunglasses, and stationary and car interiors. In 1993 she also became the first designer in the world to market condoms under her own all proceeds are being donated to various AIDS charities.
Michiko's landmark pieces are exhibited worldwide and the critically acclaimed designer also participated in the prestigious World Fashion Awards 2007, where she represented her native Japan.
