HUF was founded by Keith Hufnagel in August 2002 as a small store on Sutter Street in San Francisco’s Tenderloin District with the aim of bringing together the most respected street wear, footwear and skateboarding brands under one roof.
The store quickly became recognized as San Francisco’s go-to store for alternative street wear and with this rapid growth and popularity Hufnagel launched his own brand, HUF, which gave his own vision of a street wear/skateboarding label. What was born partly out of Hufnagel’s frustration at not being to find what he wanted to wear soon grew into an independent manufacturer of premium clothing.

HUF now specializes in the production of high-quality apparel, footwear and skateboard products operating out of its L.A headquarters. In line with the ever changing and evolving skateboarding culture the HUF brand evolves with it, incorporating these qualities into the design and styles of the collections. Hufnagel’s first passion has always been skateboarding and as such he and HUF continue to give back to the skateboarding community providing opportunities and products, staying true to the brands and Hufnagel’s roots.
Hufnagel is still heavily involved in the production and direction of HUF and continues to tour the world with his board and teams drawing inspiration for the future of the brand.
