Diesel was founded by Renzo Rosso and Adriano Goldschmied in the town of Molvena, Italy in 1978 with the goal of making top quality denim. Born in Padua, Italy in 1955, Rosso went on to study industrial textiles before setting up the Diesel brand soon after graduating. The Diesel brand has been increasing in popularity with a continued quest for improvement and innovation.
From this drive to expand their range Diesel launched Diesel Black Gold in 2007. This is a premium line of clothing that still retains Diesel’s signature deconstructed look while appealing to people who have an eye for details such as finishes, tailoring and fabrics.
