Recently launched in Spring 2010 this independent Amsterdam based division developed by Levi’s® XX (already managing the well established Levi's® Vintage Clothing) is a modern assortment of clothing and accessories that are distinctly inspired by American classics.
Levi’s® Made & Crafted™ inspiration is rooted in everyday American work wear, military uniforms and sportswear seamlessly mixing the traditional with the contemporary. Levi’s® Made & Crafted™, comprised of a small group of denim connoisseurs from all around the globe, blends the old and the new effortlessly. Combining high quality fabrics and traditional ideals with intricate construction methods and technical innovation.

Levi’s® Made & Crafted™ pays tribute Levi’s® past when it was the norm for their representatives to travel to stores with a selection or sample of Levi’s® products. After the visit they would leave a sample showing the key elements that go into making a pair of Levi’s® jeans: the Oilcloth Guarantee Ticket, the Cone denim held together by a copper rivet. The Levi’s® Made & Crafted™ branding and hang tag is based on these early samples using khaki twill and an indigo chambray which are two of the primary fabrics used in the modern collections.
Their Sander Cinch chino is inspired by one of Levi’s® earliest styles the Spring Bottom pants first produced in the 1880's. The modern version shares many of the features such as the distintive curved pockets, cinch and the tailored construction.
A signature of the brand is the exquisitely made particular details on simple yet striking designs. Whether it's all cotton shirts using compressed cotton to form the buttons, curved seams and cuffs, freestyle corner stitching or hidden buttondown buttons, it is clear that Levi’s® Made & Crafted™ is a label that has it's heart in the past but it's eye firmly on the future.
